Default The Revolutionaries

Just finished - "The Revolutionaries" - Pancho Villa and Emiliano Zapata. These two Custom Shop consecutive numbered 1911 Colts chambered in .38 Super celebrate the leaders of the 1900 to 1920 People's Revolution. With Villa in the North and Zapata in the South, they worked to establish the rights and land ownership of the agrarian communities of Mexico. They were both excellent horsemen as they are shown on the tops of the slides in gold inlay.

The ivory grips are scrimshawed with the likenesses of both - I've only recently tried my hand at scrimshaw - much like any other bulino work, except done with sharp scribes, very fine exacto blades and bulino points...backfilled with blackened Renaissance Wax and sealed with clear Renaissance.

These two are fitted in a Jim Hasson mesquite wood case with a third gun - a Single Action Army engraved with both characters. That gun is shown in the recent issue (#139) of The Engraver Magazine.

All three Colts will be on display in their case at Las Vegas Show - January 25-28.
